It is here that you leave the Kings Road and head inland for trips into the highlands to Monasavu Dam, Navala Village and for white water rafting trips on the upper Ba River.Navala Village is a national heritage site and one of the only remaining traditional villages consisting solely of bures. Permission to visit and/or take photos must be obtained through the turanga-ni-koro (head of the village) for a small fee and sevusevu. It is well worth it to see the woven wall architecture up close and to mingle with the villagers.
